GAUGES AND TEST EQUIPMENT
Nitrous Oxide is a colorless, non-flammable gas which, under certain conditions, can be stored in liquid form. In a nitrous bottle, the contents is liquid up to a certain level with gaseous nitrous above the liquid.
The gas pressure on top of the liquid is what exerts the force on the liquid nitrous below, forcing it through the siphon tube and out of the bottle. This pressure above is totally dependent on the nitrous bottle temperature.
The temperature of your bottle therefore has a dramatic effect on the performance of any kind of nitrous system. When the bottle is chilled, the pressure inside is lowered. As is the case when heating a nitrous bottle, this will increase the pressure in the bottle. Since nitrous pressure effects the flow the nitrous oxide, you should always try to maintain the recommend nitrous pressure. All Compucar systems are designed to operate correctly at 1000 PSI.......
